Ottawa Emergency Services League

Ottawa Emergency Services League (OESL)

The Ottawa Emergency Services League (OESL) is a co-ed charity soccer league created for frontline emergency service members and their families, friends, and supporters.

Hosted in partnership with Ottawa Footy Sevens, the league brings together police, fire, paramedics, corrections, healthcare, and other frontline professionals in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. More than just competition, OESL is about:

Building wellness and resilience

Strengthening connections across services

Promoting teamwork and camaraderie

Giving back to the community

All league proceeds support youth and community programs through the National Capital Blues Foundation, helping fund initiatives focused on leadership, education, and opportunity for at-risk youth.

OESL is open to players of all skill levels and emphasizes respect, sportsmanship, and positive community impact — on and off the field.

Play-Connect-Give Back.

Our impact

Through league participation, fundraising, and community partnerships, OESL helps support youth and families facing financial and social challenges. Proceeds from the league directly contribute to programs that promote education, wellness, and leadership development.

Our success is driven by the dedication of our players, volunteers, and supporters who believe in sport as a tool for positive change.

Our Partnerships

We are proud to partner with Ottawa Footy Sevens and a growing network of community organizations and businesses.

These partnerships allow us to expand our reach, strengthen our programs, and provide meaningful opportunities for frontline members and the youth we serve.

Who can play

Open to police, paramedics, fire, border services, military, healthcare, corrections, and frontline partners, family and friends.
